Talk Format and Submission

WordCamp Vienna is already an established event for the WordPress Community of Central Europe and a great opportunity to showcase the diversity of the WordPress world. Therefore we want speakers who are experienced and we look forward to well-prepared applications.

Our sessions will be 25 minutes long with 10 additional minutes for Q&A with the audience. If you have more than one great idea, please submit them all, we’ll pick the one that fits our program the best. Please send one submission per talk via our form.

We are planning 2-3 tracks, and our Call for Speakers is open for presentations in English and German. The cut-off for speaker applications is February 5th.

What can I talk about?

We are looking for great stories about and around WordPress, that dig into a specific area while still inspiring the audience.

We’re particularly interested in hearing from those who have used WordPress in interesting, innovative but also efficient ways. The WordPress ecosystem and community do such a wide variety of different things with WordPress and we want to hear it all.

Even though our focus clearly is on WordPress we’re also looking forward to applications from our friends from other communities like other Open Source CMS systems as well as about general web topics.
